MD2000™ SYSTEM

The MD2000™ Vibratory Percussor™ is an advanced electro-massage system used by many physicians for the treatment of cellulite.

The MD2000 ™ is a non-invasive system employing percussion and vibration both perpendicular and parallel to the skin surface. Variable speeds and specialized macro and micro applicator heads allow for treatment of large and small areas and a wide variety of body contours.

MD2000™ Vibratory Percussor™ Applications

1. TREATMENT OF CELLULITE:
Disorders of the microcirculatory system are involved in the development of cellulite.  Altered blood and lymph circulation cause structural changes in subcutaneous fat tissue and the surrounding collagen fibers.  Fat lobes grow and cellulite develops because of slowed blood and lymph flow through subcutaneous tissue.

The MD2000 System utilizes a Directional Mobilization™ motion that works both perpendicular and parallel to the body's surface.

  • Perpendicular action helps stimulate the flow of blood and lymph and loosen and liquefy fluids.

  • Parallel action helps dislodge, mobilize and direct fluids in select directions.

The MD2000 produces multi-directional variable wave forms and shapes with its unique 360 degree Vibrational Energy Transfer mechanism.  This stimulates manual massage.  Due to the variable vibratory frequencies available with the MD2000, the penetration depth of the percussive and vibratory waves can be varied for different areas of the body and different cellulite stages.  The wide variety of MD2000 body contour applicators allows the operator to vary the MD2000 wave-form vibration patterns.  The applicator shapes adapt to different body contours and vary the geometry of the waves emanating from each applicator.

2. PRE-TREATMENT BEFORE SURGERY:
Ideal candidates for liposuction procedures have good skin elasticity and localized areas of excess fat accumulation that have proven to be resistant to diet and exercise for several years. Pre-treating patients for two or three weeks before surgery will increase local blood circulation and muscle relaxation.

3. PREPARATORY USE OF MD2000™ IMMEDIATELY BEFORE-SURGERY:
Many surgeons recommend using MD2000™ immediately before liposuction.

4. USE OF MD2000™ IMMEDIATELY AFTER-SURGERY:
During tumescent liposuction, the ultrasonically created fat emulsion is easily absorbed into third space compartments and therefore is very important to remove. The ability to suction or massage as much of the emulsion from the tissues as possible is critical, because if it is not effectively removed, a "woody indurated" feel to the tissues results. (Mark L. Zukowski, MD; and Keith Ash, MD "Ultrasound-assisted Lipoplasty Learning Curve", Aesthetic Surgery Journal, March/April 1998, p.107.)

5. POST-SURGICAL USE:
Treating patients following liposculpture may be the most effective application of the MD2000™ System. Post-surgery tissue stimulation and vibratory percussion help to relieve muscular pain and increase local blood circulation.

Additional benefits available with the MD2000™ System include the following:

Relieves minor muscle aches and pains

Temporarily increases local blood circulation

Relaxes muscles locally

Relieves DOMS (delayed onset muscles soreness)

Relieves minor muscle aches and pains, relieves muscle spasms, and temporarily improves local circulation

Temporarily reduces circumferential body measurements of cellulite treated areas
