Introduction
The new PROLITE Fluorescent Pulsed Light (FPL) aesthetic system received FDA clearance for vascular treatment and hair removal as an Intense Pulsed Light in the Fall of 2000.  This system is the latest evolution of the traditional IPL systems.  Longevity Centre of Houston is proud to announce the acquisition of this system which makes the first medical clinic in Houston to introduce it.  Prolite gives our clinic a technology famed for more stable and reproducible results.  It is user friendly and is more time efficient than its older IPL cousins.  This system is used to treat Vascular & Pigmented lesions as well as Hair Reduction.

What is a PRO "LIGHT" FACIAL?
The PRO "LIGHT" FACIAL or utilizes a patented Fluorescent Pulsed Light Technology to effectively treat facial redness, flushing and pigmentary problems on the face, neck, and/or chest. The PRO "LIGHT" FACIAL restores a more youthful appearance to your skin with no down time, little discomfort, and minimal risk.

How does it work?
PRO "LIGHT" FACIAL utilizes the PROLITE Fluorescent Pulsed Light system to deliver a series of gentle light pulses to the skin. Specific filters are selected to maximize effectiveness. A series of five or more treatments are performed at three-week intervals. After each session, you will experience improvement of skin tone and texture.

What areas can be treated?
Unlike lasers, the PROLITE is an intense pulsed light system and non-invasive. The procedure can be preformed with a minimal discomfort. A topical anesthetic is used to minimize the moderate stinging sensation felt during the treatment.

What results can I expect?
A gradual decrease in overall redness and flushing can be expected. You will see smoother skin, smaller pore size and fading of sun spots. Rosacea, a common vascular problem, will show significant improvement.

What are the treatments like?
Each treatment takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes. Some patients may experience a mild discomfort during the treatment. For sensitive skin, a topical anesthetic may be applied. Following each treatment, the skin may appear flushed, tiny vessels may be more visible, and brown spots may appear darker. During the next few hours after treatment, redness should decrease. With minimal recovery period and no discomfort after treatment, you may proceed with normal activities after each session.

How soon will I see the results?
You will experience smoother skin and a change in skin tone color after your first treatment. Five treatments are normally performed for optimal results. Improvements are gradual and will accelerate after each additional session.
